Strange noise coming from Potterton Pro Max Ultra

Hi, i moved into a new built property about 2 months ago, up to now we hadn't used the radiators much, the last few days we have been though, and just before i noticed a faint noise from upstairs that i hadn't heard before, presumably it only does it when the radiators are on as i haven’t heard it before.


i opened the door to where the boiler is and it was making a constant noise which all i can describe is sort of like a pinging sound every few seconds which and kept doing it.


I switched the heating off by the separate control panel and the noise instantly stopped.


I guess i can live with the noise if i know its normal but if it shouldn’t be doing it then i'd rather get it looked at.


Does anyone know please?
