Hi, hopefully a plumber or someone who knows what they are talking about can answer this. I'm redoing the bathroom in new year, and need to redo pipe work as it's currently a foot off the floor.

The way they are set out I'm not sure is correct, so I will explain it and you can tell me.

As you look at picture, the bottom of the 3 pipes together is a cold feed that runs across the bathroom, then drops down to the kitchen, that's it.

The second is the hot feed to both the bathroom, and a branch off it to the kitchen, the top one is the cold feed to the bathroom. The feed from that is going off to feed the boiler.

My question is do I need 2 cold pipes running across the bathroom, is it ok to run one, as the hot is, then just branch off it to supply the downstairs?

Looks like a conversion from a gravity system to a combi.

You only need one cold pipe as long as all the taps are being served.

Some houses have some odd arrangements.

Yes, forgot about that! Was done in jean this year, so that explains the 2 feeds then, was it one mains, one from the tank?
