Hope you can help, I have looked through the forum at other shower tripping problems and none are exactly like mine:

I have a triton T80si (few years old). It was working fine until a few days ago when it just tripped. Reset the circuit breaker (dedicated for the shower), pulled the pull cord, the shower light came on, but when switching the actual shower on, it instantly goes off and trips the CB.

The strange part is that if I turn the shower pressure dial to low the shower works fine, and I can even turn up the heat and have a warm shower. But, as soon as I turn the dial to high pressure it trips.

Any ideas please...

sounds like one of two heating elements in the shower could have failed... 'low' uses one of the elements, 'high' uses both.

Would that mean I would be okay to use the shower until the low setting fails? and then presumably I will need a new shower unit? I have had a look inside the shower casing and the heating can looks like a pain to replace in itself...

Another forum suggested that it might be a faulty (old/needs replacing) circuit breaker - any thoughts??
