We have just moved into a 1950's house and one off the sockets in the master bedroom is being weird. My wife has a lamp plugged into the wall and it keeps going off and on. At first we thought it must have been damaged during the move, however, for the last 2 nights, the fan that I have plugged into the socket as well has been going off in the night. I take about an hour to go to sleep, so it runs for a while, but when I wake up, it's gone off. The power is still on in the house and nothing has tripped on the fuse box, so is it possible that the wall socket could be playing up? Or do I have to call ghostbusters?

How do you get the fan to come back on, or does it just come back on its self? Does it go off at the same time every night?

It's a digital fan, so if it goes off, I need to press the power button to turn it back on. It's not the push button type that stays down. Don't really know what time it is going off as I'm asleep
