Hi,
I have stripped a load of very heavy/thick grade lining paper (which was painted also) off the walls of my new house, and would like a bit of advice on the state of the walls underneath.
No plaster has crumbled or cracked, so I *think* it's in decent condition .. however it looks like the plaster had been primed/painted and some of that is left on the plaster.
How do I go about getting rid of that? I'm hoping I can get away with sanding the whole lot down without needing to skim it (which I couldn't do myself) but would like confirmation the walls are workable before my next move. I'd really like to paint the walls - lining paper / wallpaper is not an option so if the walls aren't workable I'm happy to pay to get it skimmed so it's all nice and level. I have some Zinnser 123 which I'm hoping is the right thing to use after I've sanded this all down?
Thanks!
