Hi, Whats the best way to strip wax from furntiure?

I have bought a pine dining table and chairs and I would like to strip off the old wax to paint some parts and re-wax others. Is it better to use a chemical wax stipper or old fashioned elbow grease and sandpaper? I don't supposed having them dipped would work on wax (cos I'm lazy ;) )

Thanks

Hi,
You can get a product from liberon called wax and oil remover. It is about £10 for 500ml. Use this first to remove old wax., and then rub down with wire wool. If the surface is a little dirty, you can clean with some meths and the wire wool. hope this helps. :)
