Strobe polarity

First time installing a wired alarm system. Nearly there but im a little confused about this polarity part with the bell box. I have it on the default setting at the moment and seems to be working ok. But can someone have a look and explain what its for please:

most new type panels are neg applied to trigger strobe and siren,
+ hold off
- hold off as standard
- tamper return
- bell / siren trigger
- strobe trigger

its a long time since i worked on a + applied sire / strobe panel!

Sorry about the delay in my response.

I was curious because on the diagram it seems as if the negative applied and negative removed jumper setting is the same? But thanks for the confirmation.
