Probably a popular query but:
I have 50 sm of indian stone "Raj Green", in 4 sizes.
It was laid 5 years ago on a full very strong bed and hand pointed with a wet mix. The guy who laid it did a great job,no complaints. It is rock solid but repeated use of a pressure washer has loosened the pointing.
I have spent several days with an angle grinder and removed every scrap of the pointing mortar, most of which was fairly soft. After washing all the stone and joints I am now ready to point (with an aching back! ) Joints are approx 25 mm deep and 20-30 mm wide.
As I don't intend to ever repeat the operation, what will be the strongest method which will allow me to use a pressure washer annually.
