Hi all

We are looking to remove a load bearing wall between the kitchen and dining room.
Is is normal practice for the structural engineer not to attend the property? A CAD attended and they said the SE will do the drawings from the measurements they took.

New project so nervous to get it right.
Thanks in advance.

No need for them to attend providing they have all of the necessary information, adequate measurements, wall construction, which walls are load bearing, first floor joists directions etc.
