What is the regulation of a structural stud . I am aware it is a standard stud clad in ply wood but what thickness does the ply need to be ?

So I can build a pitched roof off a standard. 3x2 Stud ?

It all depends what design and calcualtions have been done to determine the loading, lateral bracing, and racking resistance required
Or you may need to construct a suitable stud frame to take the additional loads, which may include certain timber section sizes and additional noggins or bracing
But surely you are not building a whole pitched roof off a single stud wall? Or are you building a stud wall to take some vertical roof load?
