Hi all,

I have recently brought a small cottage and it currently has a TAPMATE Galaxy BSM Bath & Shower Mixer on the bath.

I can't seem to remove the "Cross" part of the tab to turn the heat up.

its the really old style that they dont make anymore.

I can remove the cap on the top and there is just a hole where a screw once was i assume? The basin taps have the screw there.

there doesnt seem to be a small hole anywhere to unlock them.

any ideas?

Sounds like someone has already tried to take it off if the screw is missing. Adjustable spanner under the cross head and tap off with a hammer.
If it doesn't come off easily then it's probably welded on with corrosion/scale/crud.

Try concentrated lemon juice if scaled or other caustic cleaner if it's crud. Then it's just your luck if you can get it off without damage.
May be time for a new mixer.
