Hi Guys
I have a Stuart turner 1.8 twin showermate power unit running my shower in my bath
Last night going to the loo downstairs opened the door ,water all over the floor
Leak stains on the loo ceiling around the ceiling extractor fan and spotlight
It was water from when we turned the power shower on only, went upstairs to the bathroom and took side panel off the bath
There was a Water puddle under the pump , I couldn’t see it dripping but water is coming from somewhere in the unit, it still works when turned on
None of the attached pipes to the pump are leaking but it’s hard to see under it fully to see where the leak is coming from
Should I take it off and have a look ? Are there O rings in the power unit that could fail? If so can they be changed? Or should I bite the bullet and get a new unit, see image
Plenty of them on eBay
Cheers guys

Thanks guys
Andy straight to point and jj info link
I disconnected the power and pipes and took the unit out
The right hand side as you look at it ( hot water I think) is caked in Powderly scale so this has probably been going on for a while
I’m tempted to open her up and see if I can change the ring that jj’s link repair video shows however if you look at it the repair guys video speeds up through it so it’s virtually impossible to follow it
Also he says that might not fix the problem as max water temp must be fixed at 65c !
How do I know that as I have a Worcester Green star boiler with only a dial on the face?
See image
I think as Andy says a new unit or a chance on ebay and if that solution works I like I’ll take the old one apart and see if I can repair it and keep it if the new one ever fails

If you can get a seal kit for the pump then it could be serviced, not sure if they are available though, if not then new pump time.

Cheers Madrab
Not sure about the kit as the unit is actually discontinued
Might try a eBay recon
I want to get the same unit as I don’t want to mess around with different pipework
