Haven't picked one up yet, but instructions state a push-fit or compression fitting can be used for the HW take-off. Looking at pics of the flange though, there's a female brass receiver (unthreaded) for the 22mm copper pipe. How would a push-fit or compression fitting work? Anyone fitted one?

Not sure what you mean.

The threaded female tapping, on the top, accepts a G1 male fitting for the normal vented hot water feed. The side male fitting is the 22mm feed for the shower that accepts either a push fit or compression coupling. I would recommend the latter.

Ah, so the male fitting on the side is effectively a captive bit of 22mm brass pipe and will connect to a push-fit or compression fitting in the same way any bit of 22mm copper would? Looks like a Warix flange uses the same side fitting.

Thanks.

Yup, that's the idea.

With the Warix or Warwick Flange then the principle is the same but the top outlet feeds the shower and the side outlet is to the main vented feed. Also the side outlet can swivel making it fit to existing pipework easier than if you were say using a surrey.

Yeah, I was going to use a Surrey flange, but switched to the Stuart flange for exactly that reason (swivelling side fitting).

Thanks.
