Stuck Ceramic Cartridge in single lever mixer tap

Hi all,

I am having trouble removing the ceramic cartridge valve from my mixer tap. I have managed to open the tap after some struggle, and once opened found the cartridge broken in pieces. I attempted to remove whole but the pieces just chipped away. I am now at a point where I have remove all the broken peices and left with the base stuck to the bottom.

See picture. Any ideas how I can remove this. and how will I know which cartridge to buy, now that I have no reference point? I did find some text on the pieces which i think read KCG 070426 but havent found anything on google.

You could try long nose pilers to remove. Any writing/symbols on the tap?

Get a small compressor and goggles and blow the bits out that's what I do making sure everyone's out of the way it takes seconds and does work you should know someone with one.Bob

If its unbranded it'll probably be a cheapo and spares will be unavailable.
Get a new tap.
