can anyone advise how best to locate wooden stud joist behind plasterboard without drilling thousands of holes. I have tried tapping and listening for change of sound, also tried to measure plaster board size but so far all unsuccessful. many thanks kev
Timber usually within 50mm of edge of room, poke a couple of holes [fine blade screwdriver is ideal] in to confirm then measure off 400mm, 450mm and 600mm, pierce plasterboard at each dimension to find spacing.Should not need more than a few holes to locate everything.
