I'm converting an outdoor covered stone patio into an enclosed workshop. The walls are solid stone and uneven. Any ideas on how to frame and insulate the walls against uneven stone?
You mean the building will be right up against this wall? Well any timber cladding that you put on the frame (before erection) will be tricky to dry out if it rains, there will be no sunlight getting in there which usually speeds up drying times. Depends on your climate though.
You might want to use a decent roofing felt over osb on the back of this frame. For insulation just put it between the studs as normal.
I'm not entirely sure I've answered this correctly , more info required and maybe a pic.
