Hi

I am planning to install a stud wall over an existing travatine floor, below which is a bitumen layer acting as the dpc. This room is slightly below ground level (by about 8").

If I bolt or nail the sole plate to the floor this will penetrate the dpc.

What do you recommend I do (if anything) to avoid any problems?

Thanks
