Recently had a problem involving the pump sticking on my boiler but was able to free it and all is now working again.
Question is does the CH pump stop operating when hot water is called for? Reason I ask is that there is what I can best describe as constant and very irritating chattering, grumbling sound. It sounds like it's coming from the area of the pump but in a confined space it's very difficult to tell for sure.
When hot water is called for the noise immediately stops, then starts again immediately when the tap is shut off. Would this confirm or otherwise that it's emanating from the pump?
