subcontracting for bg

It was fairly subtle because that is the way I am greeted wherever I go. strangely.
lol You've got me there Bamber I can't take the p*ss out of someone with such high self esteem.

better of to contract direct if you can more money less sh** ,you have more control and can build your own reputation rather than working for orions they used to supply the sparks.

Yeah JB thanks for that I think your right there, will try to contact them directly to see what the score is.

I don't think I could do ANYTHING 13 times in a day. No wonder some BG guys get stick.
8hrs/13 = 36 minutes. Parking and saying hello takes half of that.
A suprima board took me well over an hour recently - I could only reach it with one hand. Parking was 15 mins walk away too, so about 2 hours total, then 30 mins to the next job. 3 of them = one day.

I would like to see a combi swop done in a day AND powerflushed (properly). Strange, some tins say run the system (with chemicals) for a week.

How does one account for traffic.

The only way a dozen or more jobs can be done in a dayis if an appliance is NOT serviced but analsyed with an instrument (which incidently is not a service)

I always price a combi swap for 2 days and take it easy.

I would expect to fully service about 6 boilers a day, maybe 7 or 8 if they are local to each other, or only 5 if they were back boilers.

i wouldn't want to put my name on a certificate as safe to use just by analysing the flue gases

Although I to do not agree with this type of annual inspection, it is what a lot of manufacturers now recommend to do instead of a traditional service

Perhaps those that slag BG for doing over ten service jobs a day only service at max half a dozen jobs a week/fortnight.. When you do ten and above everyday for weeks/ months years . It is a peace of ****.. Town i work had in the old days on council contract 6000 baxi 552`s .. 1500 baxi wall mounted and 1500 flamingo`s on contract ,.. Along with a mixture of 1000 unigas`s and dugasar wall heaters.... Well when you are doing them day in day out week in week out . Y ou can do them with you eyes shut,,, SO don`t judge people by your own in experiences or in adequacies.....
Bit like some people can do a full system in 3 days some people take a week or longer.Or a change over in a day r 2 as opposed to 3
