subwoofer noise

the subwoofer i use on my computer is making loud humming noise when i turn it on,it's only just started doing this......

any ideas ? or could anyone point me to a link on this subject.

Thanks to swelec,went to the link and posted my problem.just waiting for answers

give it a clout. alternatively, check that the speaker plug in the computer is not touching the metal case of the computer at all. And check it is in right. I have found that I can make a deep bass noise when i touch the tip of the plug to my speakers. Also check all plugs in the back of the subwoofer.
