Suck Out Water Before disconnection

Hi,

I fitted 2 Kitchen taps a few days ago, using existing Fibre washer Tap Connectors. I allowed for 'weeping' at the Fibre washers.

One is fine, not 'weeping' anymore. The other one has not 'sealed', despite constant checking and gradual tightening.

I now consider replacing a section of pipe with a flexible Tap Connector/rubber washer.

Disconnection will lead to about 2 feet of water in that section of pipe leaking behind the cupboard. Cannot completely avoid even with plenty of absorbing material.

Does anyone know whether it is possible to get a machine to ‘suck’ water out?

Yes. They’re known as a wet and dry vacuum cleaner (wet vac). Looking at the photos seems easy enough to change the fibre washers imo.
