Hi All,

I am creating a decked area at the back of our house. I plan to fix the decking joists to the brick wall at the rear of the house - but I am wondering what fixings to use for attaching these joists? I have found some suitable brackets, but am wondering about the types of screw I should use?

Browsing screwfix, there are relatively cheap masonry screws:

or RawlBolts:

Or hammer fixings:

Or all sorts of others!

The decking is only going to be around 20 centimetres off the ground, so I plan to have 'legs' at roughly 1 metre spacing, so I do not expect there to be a considerable load on these fixings.

Any ideas what I should go for?
