Suitable placement of booster pump

The water pressure to my bath mixer (the shower head part) is poor because the loft tank is not much higher than the height of the shower head. I am considering fitting a (twin) booster pump but I'm not sure of the best location for it in my case. I have read that the pump should be as close as possible to the outlet from the hot water cylinder. However, further 'downstream' I have a power shower with integral pump so if I fit a new pump close to the cylinder, the power shower will then have higher pressure water fed to it. Does it matter? Will it harm the power shower? Should I be fitting a smaller capacity booster pump after the circuit splits to the bath mixer tap so the new pump only provides higher pressure to the bath supply?

Any advice and guidance gratefully received.
