Hi. I'm dealing with 2 properties at the moment which need washing machines installed and been booked, but not sure if the set up is suitable. Any info gratefully appreciated. Hope the pics are good enough and make sense. 4 pics for one property and 3 for the other.

Just to add the installer had been, not sure if he checked the set up, but there were issues with the power (no electricity supply on at the time) which was the main reason it didn't get put in.

Easy enough.
All that is needed is already there.
You need to find out why the socket doesn't work and fix it.
The appliance waste is capped, so you need to open it up and connect it.

Apologies, the power issue was simply the fact that the properties are on smart pp meters and weren't topped up at the time. The sockets work fine otherwise I presume.

The washing machine installer could uncap the appliance waste?

He had to.
Was he expecting just to push the machine in and go???

Straightforward for a plumber and not difficult DIY. If the installer is the type that Currys etc send out with the delivery van, they will find any excuse possible to walk away. I would make sure a new washing tap is fitted and the waste connection is ready for them to fit directly onto.

I wonder why currys insists on charging for installation when they never install anything unless they swap like for like appliances.
Surely anyone is capable of fitting the inlet and waste if everything is already there.
