Few days ago i leveled a floor with Wickes Self Leveling compound which went ok. The floor is level and i'm happy with it. But the next morning when i went into the room it smelled of rotten eggs and has done for the past few days. It's getting less potent as we are leaving the back door open. Just wanted to know if this is a common thing or if shouldn't worry about it and my kitchen is doomed to smell like that forever.

I wold also appreciate any suggestions of getting rid of the smell other than our current leave the door open and fill the room with plug in air fresheners.

Product i used was 4 bags of this stuff:

Cement is a chemical and will react with stuff.

Mix some neat cement with chimney soot and hey presto, instant smelling salts! excellent for a hangover cure. Everything soon settles down again once everything has dried out and there is nowt left to react.
