I'm converting a wet room back into a bathroom. It's a small room 3m x 3m, with a concrete floor.

The floor levels vary from 75mm at the shower drain to about 10mm at the door end (a sort of wedge shape, getting narrower towards the door).

I can't use screed at the door end because it's not deep enough.

Is it a case of screeding where I can and using self levelling for the shallow parts, or is there a better way?

Also, can I make up my own mix of self leveling compound? Buying bags from a DIY shed could end up expensive.
