I have a vented gravity fed water system used to run the central heating and hot water in a two storey house. In the winter, when the central heating is run for an hour or so in the morning and a few hours at night, my shower hot water pressure is good. In the summer however, when I don't run the central heating at all, the shower water pressure drops to just a trickle.
The boiler still runs to keep hot water hot, and the hot water tank is hot and has water too, so is there a reason why not running the central heating would result in a loss of pressure? This is a recurring problem every year which clears up once the use of the central heating is resumed.
Any advice on the cause and how to fix it would be appreciated.
