I seem to remember someone on here saying that supplementary bonding of pipes in a property where the main incoming and much of the water installation is in plastic. Could someone please explain the reasoning behind this.

Scenario - Plastic incomer, metal stop tap into plastic supply. Bathroom still has copper pipes coming up to the radiator and toilet.

Is there a need to bond?

Yes you still need to bond all pipes, The only time you dont is when the entire installation is plastic pipes in a bathroom.
