Sorry for the delay in replying, I've been working some long and strange shifts just recently!
Anyhoo, I've taken a couple of readings, and and with no secondary load connected, the primary current draw of the transformer is 1.2A whilst warming up, and 2.2A when fully on load. My digital meter can't react quick enough to measure the respective inrush currents, and my old analogue meter doesn't seem to be working
