Can’t touch the roof. What don’t you understand about this limitation?
Because we're a practical lot usually and when someone just drops a 'computer says no' response we like to delve deeper.
What about some 18mm plywood cut into 6" strips, then joined together to make a long enough length to follow the curve of the roof/walls. Once you had several of those, you could then knit them together with some lengths of floor boards or similar, set at the height you require your light to be at.
