See the picture below. I'm concerned about the additional lateral pressure when I remove the existing brickwork highlighted in the red dashed rectangle.

The doorframe and floorboards are in place above.

what difference does it make whether it's a solid wall or one with a doorway in it?

because where the left-hand SB is surely there is a potential for that to move, since its not structural connected to the left hand side

by move I mean perpeneicular movement compared to the lintel
