I am hoping to put a door in this wall to access the pantry behind it. The current door is in the kitchen to the right but is akward to use.
The wall finishes below the first floor landing at the top of the stairs which return from a half landing to finish above the wall.
The section of wall is 1000mm wide so the door lintel would sit on the end of the single skin brick wall to the Left that runs up the stairs as that is all that would be left from cutting out the brickwork for the doorframe. Is this no-no or would it be ok?
