Well, if non-Muslims didn't keep giving their kids silly names then traditional British names like David, John, Charles, Robert and Richard would top the poll. It's just every Muslim parent will likely name their first born Mohammed.

Christians used to names their children Jesus, but that's largely stopped.

I've just had a look. That's a very varied set of boy's names! I remember Tom and Ben being very popular thirty years ago. Then there seemed to be a lot of biblical names like Isaac, Jacob and Joshua. I wonder, in absolute numbers, how Noah compares with some of the more traditional big names in the 1960s and 1970s.

Just seen a story about this on the news. Last year the number of Kiers went from 4 to 0. At the same time, the number of Nigel’s went from 0 to 4. That says more to me than any poll.
