Suspect Drainage

Hi all

On my street I'm concerned a builder has put a downstairs loo on an extension he's doing, straight into a topwater drain, I know the foul runs at the back of the properties and the topwater runs to the front, what are the ramifications if this is true and I can prove it??

If the drain is cross connected then will need to be reconnected (correctly!) at either his or the property owners expense. Building Control should have been notified (and be checking) the work, ask them if they're aware and if not then perhaps they should be!
