Suspected Lime mortar?

I am buying a house and strongly suspect lime mortar has been used. The walls are of brick construction and are cavity walls built in the 1920's. The mortar is crumbly when rubbed and has a white/grey look.

Please can you confirm whether or not this is lime mortar. I have attached photos for your reference.

I'm not sure why the mortar would be a key buying decision.

Anyway, if there are no cracks in it then it may well be lime

If it was built before the War, it's quite likely that it will be lime mortar, but so what?

I wanted to know because the chimney needs repointing.

The chimneys may be cement mortar though
