Hopefully a simple question …..
Currently I have a fan with a timer that works off the light pull cord.
I want a fan with a timer and humidistat where the fan goes on with the light and off with the timer (same as it does now) and also on and off driven by the humidistat.
Can I simply swap the fan for one with a timer and humidistat without changing the wiring? Thanks

Yes. If you have a timer, you will already have a permanent live and a switched live. The humidistat will use the permanent live.

In my experience, humidistat controlled fans fall way below the expectations. Maybe it’s because the UK is consistently well soggy, but they’ve always proved unreliable.
