I have a 2014 20.L Vauxhall Zafira.

I need to replace a headlight bulb (HIR2 9012) and am sick of how expensive these things are.
£17 each for Halfords own brand.

Contemplating getting some cheap replacements on Ebay or switching to LED.

Only reason I was considering paying out more for the LED equivalents was that I was hoping they'd last a lot longer.

Any thoughts, suggestions etc. thinks to avoid?

Thanks in advance.

Firstly you need to check the replacement is road legal. Most LEDs are more expensive not cheaper.
second you need to check it wont trigger a bulb fault due to reduced current.

Ah yes, good points on both counts. Didn't think of those. Thanks!

Some of the cheaper led lamps can be on the large size meaning they can be too big for some light clusters .
