Switching handle orientation - bifold doors

Hi all

I have a set of aluminium four panel bi-folds in a 3-1 configuration with two sets of handles - the single opener horizontal (with matching external - picture on the right) and another internal only between two panels that points down to lock (on left, shown slightly open to reveal screws better).

I'd like to switch both handles to be pointing *up*in their closed position, so they'll clear the top of the juliette balcony I now have to install.

If I undo the screws that hold them to the door, will I just be able to remount them on the spindle the other way round pointing in a different direction, or will it be more involved than that?

I think you will find its the gearing that dictates the handle position, so in my opinion ..no
