Hi,
I have a switchmaster VA4 which controls the heating , it now clicks when activated after turning a few degrees , I can move it on past that but obviously no use as a control . I have tried lubricating the valve plate and the movement on the switchmaster but its not helping .
Is there a direct replacement for the switcmaster that will clip on to the existing metal plate in which the valve sits or does it mean that plate and valve need repalcing as well ?

Sorry should add that I tried another switchmaster for the water on the existing valve plate and that worked ok so it has to be the switch unit that is the problem.
