i have just had my new (3months) old oak floor taken up ,the fitter failed to check the moisture levels on our new build, a couple of questions please if anyone can help, did it matter that we plastered 5 large areas after the floor was fitted, the flooring company say it does not make any difference. and also how can we get the adhesive off the concrete screed
thanks daisy

about two weeks after the plasterer had finshed

when there is too much moist in the underfloor (concrete/screed) you will notice the effect on a solid wooden flooring within 2 - 3 days.

Calvert, still don't understand why the flooring company told you 'it would be ok' to plaster afterwards? Normally it is not recommended to do so when the solid floor is just down (and still has to 'adjust' to its surroundings)

because that would make them responsilble, and they say we must have a problem else where which we dont the floor is now drying well the floor is up and of course the plasterer is finshed and we are hoping to purchase oak flooring in the next week ,
