• Those resettled are primarily of Syrian nationality (91%), with slightly higher proportions of males (52%) than females (48%), and around half (50%) aged under 18 years on arrival; two years after arrival, most are still living in the local authority where they were first resettled (over 80%).

It isn't about want or need, it is about helping fellow human beings who need it.

Here we go again. The huge numbers fleeing war and oppression? In France? Many of whom have conveniently 'misplaced' all their ID documents.

Some will now be hurriedly reviewing their decision to claim to come from Syria.

That's great in principle, but the problem is distinguishing the genuine needy from economic migrants, mostly male, who are happy to leave their women and children in supposedly dangerous places.

Exactly. Genuine refugees consist of children, elderly, women, - even pets. Eg. Ukranian refugees. Fake refugee chancers consist of almost exclusively young men, cherry-picking their preferred country.
