Hi.

We are shortly to have our boiler installed in the loft (new baby means we need to free up space in the bedroom it is currently in)

One thing I have picked up from the forums is the reason most boilers fail in the loft is due to the lack of maintenance from home-owners.

I have read elsewhere that a separate filling loop and pressure indicator can be fitted inside the house in order to perform regular maintenance on the boiler (without the need to go in and out of the loft).

Just wondered if you could indicate what the likely cost of this would be?

Thanks

£30 to fit or just the parts?

Would this solve the problem of being able to top up the pressure of the boiler without having to go up there?

Thanks again!

Considering there should be no pressure loss or very little between services, cant really see the point of having a filler loop at low level.
If the boiler and istallation is all ok no need to worry about pressure.

If you DIYit all in.

if you are putting your boiler in the loft you will need to have a fixed loft ladder floored walkway to the boiler , permanent fixed lighting, the filling loop is the least of your worries if cost is an issue

Putting a boiler in the loft is the Devils work.
How small is the room that you have to move a boiler to make space for a new baby?
