Hi all, some help please! Just purchased a Tado Smart Thermostat starter kit (wired thermostat/bridge/+ 2 smart TRVs). This is replacing a SMRTPRV room sensor and controller. I've removed the controller panel and the wiring looks a simple enough replacement. The boiler is a Biasi Advanced 30c. Attached is a photo of the wiring on current Smartheating Wireless controller box.

Can anyone provide some pointers on how to install the Tado Smart Thermostat using the existing wiring? The old backplate will be removed and the neutral/live for the controller will be terminated.

Cheers, Gary

Looks simple enough, but why are you terminating the live and neutral? Is the tado battery powered?

Yeah; it's battery powered :) cables are like for like; just wanted to make sure!

So you only need common and switched wires. Then safely terminate or remove altogether the live and neutral wires (unless this means opening up the boiler - not recommended).
