I've noticed that the tank coupler on the output of my F+E tank is weeping slightly - it appears to be coming out between the nut that secures it to the tank and the thread of the coupler.
I've tightened it as much as I dare, if I do it any tighter I fear it ripping through the plastic, so I don't think it's that (but obviously could be wrong). My question is does this most likely mean that the rubber seal on the inside of the tank has perished, or is it just that I should e.g. put some PTFE tape on the thread of the coupler?
I'm draining the system down this weekend anyway as I've had some cleaner going round it, so can easily do whatever is required - but I don't want to go and replace the rubber seal just to find that it still happens and I need to drain down again...
