Looking at a bit of a project on the old looking (not that old but its a Persimmon home) bathroom.
Anyway all my plasterboard and weetabix (chipboard) flooring has gone a bit mouldy so I'm planning on tanking walls and floor (probably with Dunlop). My query was where abouts the tanking fits in the underfloor heating sandwich.
My thoughts were:
1. Marine ply to level out the knackered weetabix.
2. Tanking
3. Insulation board
4. Underfloor heating (electric)
5. Tiles
My concern with this is that when water gets past floor tiles it will ruin the underfloor heating and insulation board before the tanking stops it. Other options/thoughts?
Cheers
