Hi, I need to change the tap mechanism on bath but the thread on the nut is virtually non existent. Ive tried adjustables and sprayed with WD-40 too to try and loosen but it wont budge and adjustables keep slipping. The nut only has one slight edge other than that it is more or less circular! How can I get it out? Any ideas? New tap mechanism is dying to get in!

A job for Mr. Molegrips, I think....squeeze them on really tight and rotate, in the direction that doesn't want to open the jaws.
