HI. Can anyone help with a tap install. We are putting in a used Franke tap from a family friend. We have got some flexi tails but when they go in we're struggling to get the mounting bracket, washer and nut all in to tighten up. It's like the diameter of the flexi are too thick not allowing the nut to tighten or the mounting bracket to lay in place around the pipes.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

The image just shows how tight it all looks before even trying to get the bracket and washer.on

Should be doable depending on your hole and depth size. The bracket should go underneath, if you’re struggling maybe pay someone?

A longer threaded section but then you may need to add thickness to the underside of the worktop - is it going in a work top or a sink - I can see your issue it looks like a struggle maybe look at different tails as those fixed shaft ends look quite long - to me

You can get 10mm and 8mm tails which might be smaller than what you got.
Take one of them tails with you to screwfix or wherever.
