Taps - Which way round is correct?

Hot to the left or the right? Partner's Ma has a thing about it but I cannt recall ever having lived in a house where all taps were tot he same orientation

Hot on the left although it doesn't matterwhich way they go.

Hot on the left was a standard for blind people that became the norm.

Dont dump it too soon they are back in fashion. Best to grow mint in it in between bouts of fashion thus increasing it's antique value
