Taxing a car.

Hi all, a female friend of mine is worrying because she bought a car and the company went and taxed it for her, she is worrying because she thought she as the new owner was the only one who could tax it, can anyone advise please, thanks for your time!!

I guess what the company (garage) did was to use the green slip to tax the car, and sent the logbook off in her name. The DVLA don't care WHO pays for the tax provided it is paid! After checking with website (above), if it shows the car as taxed until XXXXXXX, sit back and wait for the new V5 to land on the doormat.
