Hi,

I put the digger through my telephone cable, i have re routed/ new conduit and patched it all back together.

However i have used crappy terminal blocks to link the wires together..

I have seen BT use little discs that are filled with gel or something.

Does anyone know what they are called or where to get them from?

Thanks

If it's going underground those little connections wont be enough to hold out the water. If I were you I'd nab a BT guy in the street and offer him £30 to put a joint on for you.

Hi Guys,

Well i salvaged the good end of the cable, threaded it through some conduit, which is stuffed into the old piece and back into the road.

I then chucked a ip66 box on the wall with some galnds on it, then thread a new bit of conduit through the ground to the house, with some new phone cable.

I managed to get batt cables to supply 30m of armoured phone cable. So all then links are above ground and if need be i can pull in new stuff as well.

Cheers

A
